Our Story

Chelsea Sackett, Everything Equine owner, shares her journey and experience that she has had with horses.

"I feel extremely blessed to have had the privilege of growing up with horses. Knowing the positive impact horses have had on my life, since day one, I only wish that others also get to have this opportunity and experience. It all started when my parents were given two "free" horses. Let us keep in mind the word "free" and "horse" shall never be considered in the same sentence again. From there, we kept progressing in our equine knowledge and skills and got introduced to the Nebraska 4-H community. I fell in love with the welcoming community – full of unique, hard-working individuals. I began competing in rodeos and showing horses when I was 15.

Fast forward 15 years, and I now have two little girls that are equally in love with horses. I'm thankful for the most amazing career I could ask for – getting to help young cowgirls and cowboys accomplish their equine goals. Not only their horse related goals, but all the life lessons that come with owning and caring for a 1,000 plus pound animal. Patience, work ethic, confidence, and the importance of being present... these four attributes come to mind when I reflect on all the life lessons I have learned from a horse.

Being the 4-H Leader of Everything Equine for the past 10 years has brought many blessings. I get to teach eager kids, that want to succeed, everyday. Going to shows and seeing their hard work pay off as they grasp their trophies is an awesome feeling.

To sum up my horse experience, I would simply say that I am grateful that I get to be around kind, gentle animals everyday."
